Analysts see reduction in cargo dwell time, demurrage

Maritime industry analysts say the proposed 24-hour port operations in Nigeria is a positive development which will free the ports of congestion, reduce cargo dwell- time and demurrage charges to the barest minimum, and increase ports’ contribution to gross domestic product (GDP).
