200 feared killed in Libya’s protest

OVER 200 persons have lost their lives in the wave of unrest sweeping through Libya.  The protest is against Muammar Gaddafi whose forces have cracked down on the demonstrators. The spectre of revolt has also pushed Bahrain’s rulers into talks with the opposition. Reuters said yesterday that a doctor in the Libyan city of Benghazi said his hospital had seen the bodies of protesters killed by Gaddafi’s forces over the last few days.
