The chairman of INEC, Attahiru Jega, on Tuesday cautioned the resident electoral commissioners (REC) over their relationship with governors.
Jega gave the warning in Abuja when he inaugurated 16 new RECs at the commission’s headquarters.
He said that reports reaching the commission indicated the need for the caution.
He said: “Part of the efforts toward repositioning INEC is a reflection on the past practices so as to learn from them”.
