The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday explained why the name of Mohammed Abacha featured as the governorship candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Kano State.
According to INEC spokesperson, Mr. Emmanuel Umenger, the commission’s observation team reported that Abacha won the CPC primaries conducted in the North-West state.
But the leadership of CPC accused INEC of replacing their candidate with Abacha.
