Abuja PDP convention fails to elect new leaders •Ratifies steering committee •Govs, NASS members absent
THE national convention organised by the Concerned Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Stakeholders in Abuj, on Saturday, failed to elect new national leaders for the party as expected, instead ratified the 57-member steering committee earlier set up to oversee the party's affairs.
The committee led by former Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu as chairman, was ratified through a voice vote after it had been put to the delegates by Mantu himself.
