Sequel to the successful dredging of the River Niger, the Federal Government has approved the dredging of River Benue from Yola to Makurdi, the Minister of Information, Labaran Maku has announced.
Briefing State House correspondents yesterday after the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan, Maku said the project will improve inland waterway transportation and commerce while reducing cargo impact on roads.
