LAWYERS were divided yesterday on the controversy surrounding the elevation of the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami, to the Supreme Court.
Salami, in a letter he wrote to the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Aloysius Iyorger Katsina-Alu, at the weekend, described the elevation as “an unholy move”, an action which may “create a dangerous precedent which may give rise to chain reactions”.
