Kogi councillors suspend chairman

THE Chairman of Yagba West Local Council of Kogi State, Mr. Ropo Asala, has been suspended indefinitely. His removal was effected by 10 of the 14 councillors, constituting the legislative council. They voted in favour of his removal, accusing him of misconduct and failure to perform his functions as the executive chairman as required by law.
