AFTER 18 days of bloody protests across Egyptian cities by citizens, President Hosni Mubarak on Friday yielded to pressure by stepping down from office.
In a televised announcement by Vice-President Omar Suleima, Mubarak was reported to have handed power to the military after 30 years in the saddle.
