Threats by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to embark on another round of strike over the delay in the implementation of minimum wage promised last year by President Goodluck Jonathan may have been laid to rest, following the passage of the Minimum Wage Bill by the National Assembly yesterday.
At its plenary session presided over by Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, the Senate passed the amendment to the bill, thus raising the national minimum wage to N18,000 from the current N7,500.
