Northern leaders insist on Jonathan’s presidency in 2011

THE Prof. Jerry Gana-led Group of 20 (G-20) of Northern Politicians continued to insist yesterday that President Goodluck Jonathan be allowed to contest and possibly continue as president because this would help to consolidate the rapprochement struck between the Niger Delta and the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua in his amnesty programme. Also, the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Jigawa State chapter, Garun Garbamas, has condemned the northern governors for their insincerity.   ...
