NPAN wins case against Press Council law

The Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) has won the suit it instituted against the Nigerian Press Council Law that sought to gag journalism and the practitioners thereby denying them the fundamental right of freedom of expression and opinions, as well as the right to receive and impact idea and information as entrenched in section 39 (1) and (2) of the 1999 constitution.
