The review of the Consolidated Insurance Package (CIP) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) by the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) is being frustrated following plans by some underwriters to invoke the secrecy oath they entered into in securing the contract in order to bar prying eyes from their books.
The underwriters are citing the section that bars them from divulging the facts or information about the CIP to a third party and even their employees.
