A NEW study of countries in Africa and Asia published in the Bulletin of the World Health Organisation (WHO) has endorsed health insurance schemes as holding untapped potential for achieving universal coverage of health services.
Also, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has listed poor sensitisation, low capitation and the system of government practised in the country as the major challenges faced by the scheme in meeting its mandate.
